I have always had a great deal of passion and respect for the outdoors and everything it has to offer. I grew up in Jackson, NJ and spent most of my time in the woods fishing and camping. My father introduced me to fishing and took me on weekly fishing trips to the Jersey Shore and the local trout stream. It was not until I was fifteen years old that I started to gain interest in hunting and from that day on I became straight up addicted. I was fortunate enough a few years ago to meet up with a great bunch of friends and start Jackson Pro Staff. Although bow hunting is my favorite, I also enjoy waterfowl, turkey and predator hunting. I am a firm believer that the youth are the future of our sport.

I started out my life in the outdoors fishing. My grandfather, father and uncles used to meet down at the docks every weekend to head out on my grandfathers boat. Those were some of my favorite childhood memories. Years later, I expanded my love of the outdoors thanks to friends John and Dale. They introduced me to hunting and I never looked back. While I have a huge passion for bowhunting, one of my favorite things to do is hunt waterfowl. My best day out hunting was when I took my 8 year old son out on a duck hunt with me. The look on his face as I called in ducks through the flooded timber and dropped a nice big drake mallard is something I will never forget. I look forward to taking both my kids on their first hunts and look forward to their first harvest. I enjoy nothing more then spending my time in the woods with such a great group of guys. We always have a night of laughs and stories that we will never forget. I have to thank my wife and family for dealing with my obsession and addiction, but most of all my grandfather for getting me started in the outdoors in the first place!

I guess it all started when I was about five years old, watching my father go out into the woods. Right then I knew I wanted to hunt. My brothers, cousin and I would shoot our little bows everyday in the back yard. When I turned ten years old I took my bowhunters safety course and started hunting. Twenty four years later I'm still at it and love the sport more and more everyday. My passion is bow hunting, and for the past four years I've been totally addicted to waterfowl hunting. I also shotgun hunt for deer and some small game. The best part of it all is not whether I harvest something but the fun times I have in the woods with great friends and family. I have to thank all my friends and family who do not hunt for the support they have given me over the years with this love and passion that I have. Also in helping me keep this tradition going with my children and other children as well.

I got into the sport of hunting when I was about 7 or 8 my father would always go and I took a great interest into the sport. Bowhunting whitetails is my main passion but within the last year or so I’ve been real excited about waterfowl hunting. The comrodery in hunting is key and spending time in the woods with friends and family is a greater feeling then the harvest itself although sharing your harvest with friends is just as rewarding. My first four years of hunting were unsuccessful from a harvest standpoint but I learned more and more about whitetail behavior which helped me be a better sportsman over the past 24 years.

Almost 30 years ago, while watching my uncle sight in his bow in his backyard, I discovered a long-time love affair with archery. Along with my cousins, Scott and Steve, we shot almost everyday for years. We took our Hunter's Ed test a few years later and that's when bowhunting became my passion. A couple of years down the road I picked up the gun and extended my hunting season into December. But it never held a candle to archery season. In 2008 I was introduced in to the addicting world of waterfowl hunting and I absolutely love it. Saltwater fishing is my second biggest hobby. I fished the Florida Keys twice for Tarpon and Permit and man what a rush. To see a 125lb Tarpon launch 6 feet out of the water is a sight to be seen by everyone who picks up a rod and reel.
My greatest hunting experience: Being there when my nephew, Zakk, shot his first deer with the bow in 2008. Seeing the joy on his and his father Scott's face was amazing.

With family ties to Central Pennsylvania, an area rich in hunting tradition, I was introduced to hunting at a very young age. I remember being in the first and second grade, impatiently counting down the time until I could join my dad on his annual trip to our Pennsylvania deer camp. When I finally became of age, I was fortunate enough to harvest my first deer with my father at my side. That was an experience I still can vividly remember and I’ll definitely never forget. My passion for the outdoors only grew from there. However, it was not until I met Johnny “Mac” McKinnon, our sophomore year at TCNJ that my passion for the outdoors escalated to a near obsession. I remember mornings and evenings sitting in the stand with a text book attempting to study for an exam, yet hoping an opportunity at an elusive buck would present itself. I’m probably one of the few individuals that have yet to become completely crazed with monster bucks. Don’t get me wrong, the mere sight of antler tips coming through the trees oftentimes has me shaking like a leaf, but what I enjoy about hunting is getting out there and being with great friends like the guys on this site.

I grew up eating wild pheasant and rabbits since i could remember. My dad was a big hunter but i never had the passion to do it. I started playing baseball at age 7 and fell in love with it until my dad cohearsed me at age 16 to tag along with him to the deer woods. We sat in an open area in the NJ pinelands and he started rattling horns. Two minutes later not 1 but 2 bucks appeared both withen 15 yrds. My dad drew back his bear kodiak magnum recurve with a ceder arrow and 145 gr bear broadhead attached to the string and let one fly. It was a clean miss but my dad told me its not about getting one its about being there. My heart was pounding with excitement and from that day on i fell in love with hunting.
My passion is bowhunting for the upclose encounter you have with such a weary animal. I also enjoy shotgun and muzzleloader hunting. I was a big waterfowl hunter for yrs and im just now getting back into it. I like to surf fish but my casting needs some work "quiet steve and brian". My greatest outdoor moment was taking my son on his first hunt and bagging my biggest tom ever that day, it's something i'll never forget!
